Looking back on 2024

As another amazing year wraps up, I love to take the time to reflect back about all the awesome that's been part of my life in the last 365days. I feel that dates and time markers help us to structure our own timelines, personal progress and to file our memories.

Being Type A and very goal driven, it's important for me to look back and realized that I have accomplished more than just the TDL currently in from of me.

Looking back, I realized that I have read over 40 books.

I did a huge purge of my home after reading the magic of tidying up. This was incredibly freeing and brought significant joy back to my space. Consequently, I have also been purchasing less and bringing home less stuff. This feels great!

I've helped over 6 co-workers with beautiful new websites. I learn more and more about web-design everyday and I really enjoy the process. Now that I have a portfolio, I am building my own website to advertise my services. I feel that websites are an integral part of any business and they let the customer know what to expect and what's provided. I think we can all agree that the more information we have, the easier it is to want to make a purchase.

I turned off my phone over the Christmas Holiday and it was most excellent. I relaxed and recharged and wasn't even tempted to turn it on. Driving home after Christmas, I was met by a cattle drive on the highway. They weren't crossing they highway but using the highway and some how the car didn't get to beat up. It was exciting and reminded me how much I want to participate in a cattle drive myself.

I've been working with my Personal Trainer for over a year now. Although I have always been an athlete and very strong, I have never felt this level of strength and fitness before. I also feel like I have almost zero risk of injury and that is worth it's weight in gold!

On that front, I have refined my diet even more(never starving) and have really been fine tuning it in the last month. And the results are becoming visible. I haven't done a 1 rep max dead-lifting since last June, so I can't speak for a max at this point, but over 220lbs with ease and no weight belt. We will see the next time I test. I would like to compete at some point, but would probably like to be lifting over 300lbs when I go that route.

Here's to a grand finale in 2024 and onward and upward to an exciting 2025!
